Shrinking!

Hey all, sorry it's been a little bit from my last post! I've been super busy. Dealing with problems with my school, my best friend moved back who was in Savannah for a year, and I was commissioned to do some graphic design for my fiance's work!

I have good news though!!!! I'm down a pant size! I was in desperate need of jeans, and couldn't really afford to do anything for a while. But I finally had enough money to go pants-shopping yesterday. Goodwill is my go to place, always. Their jeans range between $3.99-$9.99 on average, so it is guiltless shopping. However, I am a shortie at under 5 feet tall, so it can make things a little difficult. Yesterday was apparently my lucky day though! I found two pairs of jeans---A pair of Gap lightwash (which I usually don't wear) flare jeans which look amazing, and a pair of mid-tone was skinny jeans from Ann Taylor LOFT (who I will always recommend for jeans, their jeans fit my curves and don't slide down my bottom if you know what I mean!) and when I tried them on, it was magic. I'm at a size 10 now, and neither of the jeans are tight on me, make my bootie look awesome, and have a high enough rise for me! It's amazing how a new pair of jeans that properly fit make a lady feel!

I've also been hitting my goals on water lately, which makes me feel wonderful. I barely have soda now, and while I will indulge in the occasional iced coffee or juice, I keep it to a minimum and to proper serving size. But water makes me happy!

When I was living at home, my mom and I made "Skinny Water" which tastes amazing and is great for detoxing (not to be had as a substitute, mind you!). You take icewater in a pitcher, throw in some cucumber slices, a little bit of ginger (which aids with digestion amongst other things), and lemon slices. It tastes lovely, and it relieves you of bloating. Unfortunately, my fridge won't accomodate a pitcher, but there are always ways to spruce up your water if you're bored!

-Throw in different citrus (orange, lime, lemon, etc)
-Use berries like strawberries, blackberries, or raspberries for a different taste
-Add some mint leaves which adds a subtle taste, but also aids with digestion!
-Ice tea is always delicious <3 It's my go-to going out for meals drink
-Freeze ice cubes with herbs or fruits frozen into them to keep your drink cold and tasty!
-You can always go for powdered drink mixes, but I don't prefer them, myself for the weird aftertaste
-You can do all of these with club soda or tonic water (yum!) for a soda alternative as well!

I hope you all have had a wonderful week, and I'll post some progress pics soon! Once I take care of my school stuff, I can formulate a work out schedule for our free gym (which is super nice!), which will definitely help in my slow weight loss!
