Staying on top of my game

So, last night presented a new problem. It was my first time drinking since changing my ways! Now, I'm 22, and can get a little over board at times, but I try to be careful. On my SparkPeople account, I accounted for 6 oz of vodka (3 short drinks) and diet soda. This is not what actually happened!

I wound up giving into temptation and ordering my favorite drink---rose infused vodka lemonade! Probably not as good for my diet as the original (tasteless) drink I had in mind, but I figured if I was going to enjoy myself, I should.

HOWEVER!

I promised myself before I even went out that if I was drinking, I would have to get on that dance floor for at least a half hour to work for it. It was a wonderful time, and I was able to get people on the dancefloor moving with me. I also did this in heels, which tones the legs and works on your core.

And let me be honest about something here. I get drunk munchies. Bad. My fiance and I stopped at McDonald's and I consumed a McChicken with light mayo. Not the healthiest choice, but over the past several days I have been under-eating (It's hard for me to hit 1,200 some days, and that's the lowest of my range!), and in my...slightly intoxicated mind I justified it. It happened! Oh well. I moved on.

This morning I got on the scale, and it read 161. Over the week I had gained a couple/few pounds, and somehow I was still able to drop it.

So, it is possible to have a bad night (food/beverage wise!), but still lose weight. It's important to forgive yourself and move on from those episodes in order to maintain your esteem and motivation.

Moving on, this morning I'm starting out my day with a delicious carmelized onion, crumbed ground chicken, and cheese egg white omelette. High in protein with little fat, and lots of deliciousness!

Om-nom-nom!

I hope your day is as delicious as mine, and remember, forgive, forget, and move on (literally)!
